Steal Her Breath (2024)

Steal Her Breath

  • "Steal Her Breath" will leave you breathless!

I dont know how this movie works in other languages, but in the Original German Version there is a spin you might miss: The main actors speak very different dialect (Swabish and Saxon Dialect) that are strongly different and for some from other regions: some words might sound a bit funny. The clash between the main actors speaking different dialects makes a lot of the fun you might miss, when you are a non native German speaker.

The movie itself is a stylish and suspenseful crime drama that delivers a captivating story of a high-stakes game between a brilliant thief, Laura, and a relentless detective, Maxine. The film boasts a sharp script, keeping you guessing until the very end. "Steal her breath" is a heartwarming homage to pulp movies as well as a lot of classic gangster movies, where you can find elements in this one. It makes a lot of fun recognizing certain parts or dialogues from other classic movies.

And last but not least: this film is sexy as hell. I havent seen such a long and hot FF Scene on the silver screen for a long time.

With its Rawness, the obeisance to classic movies and its original own approach and script "Steal her Breath" has a chance to become a Cult-Film for at least German Native Speaker.

  • If you order Star Trek on Wish...

This is an even bigger trainwreck than "REBEL MOON".

The storyline seemed disjointed and convoluted, making it difficult to follow. The pacing was erratic, with long, drawn-out scenes that added little to the overall narrative. The film juggled many uninteresting threads, resulting in a lack of cohesive storytelling. The twists and turns felt forced rather than organically integrated into the plot.

Characters that had the potential to be fascinating and complex were instead one-dimensional and predictable. The protagonist's arc was underwhelming, and the antagonists lacked the depth and intrigue necessary to make them compelling. The interactions between characters often felt wooden and uninspired, failing to evoke any genuine emotional response.

While "Star Trek" is known for its stunning visuals, "Section 31" fell short in this department as well. The special effects seemed dated and lacked the polish expected from a modern sci-fi film. Some action sequences appeared overly choreographed and lacked the visceral impact needed to keep viewers engaged.

I certainly hope future installments will learn from these missteps and reignite the spark that makes Star Trek truly iconic. In face of the current global political developments, a much better STAR TREK Film would be very important transporting the message of diversity, global collaboration and peace.

  • Rocky at the Hamburger Reeperbahn

A female-Roma Rocky Version at the Hamburger Reeperbahn vs. Million Dollar Baby. The young woman struggles between parenting her daughter while haveng three less-paid jobs. Vast Majority of the actors seemed to be amateurs. Only a few stick out of the mass. The story is not audience pleasing...you have to have a lot of good will and ignore the plot errors, bad writing and goofs.
