I'm not for fluff, I have never liked Karan Johar's movies like Student of the Year kinds .. but call me Bae is actually a nice watch.

Watch it without any judgement. It's pure entertainment with a cute mockery of the rich and famous without being derisive .

I actually watched a few reviews by famous reviewers and earlier decided to drop it because they were not that encouraging.

But having lost trust in the famous reviewers over the last few years (especially after Pathan ;);)) , I decided to give it a go.

The fact that I completed the 1at episode and decided to continue told me that I would sail through.

I particularly loved the innocence of Ananya Pandey. As per the movie, one doesn't have to go to journalism school to be a famous journalist, the same way I feel Ananya doesn't have to be a fabulous actor to hold the entire show. She has done a good job by acting who she is, how we see her on social media .

The supporting cast is full of energy and that doesn't let the show go boring. Vir Das is good as an irritating Tehelka style presenter.

My favourite is the watchman who tells Ananya - Aapki majboori jahan shuru hoti hai, wahan tak pahunchna hee to apna sapna hai 😀 with a snide ref of Siddhant Chaturvedi.

This is one of the best feel good series made this year.

There is a lot of chaos in the court premises but it's a very organised chaos .. and it's so relatable to people who have ever visited the courts.

The actors are simply superb and that's what makes the series so spectacular. Ravi Kishen is too good , one of his best works I think, even more than Laapta Ladies. He lights up the screen every time he enters and the background score helps in that.

Nidhi Bisht is a revelation. Hope she gets more roles after this . Naila , Anant Joshi, Yashpal Sharma are no less. Rajendra Gupta also has a very special role.

If Kota factory represented what the middle class kids go through in Kota , All India Rank was supposed to show a similar side for a lower middle class kid. But what unfolded was a very boring tale of a kid and his friends / family. The family angle was good because the actors were good. Friends didn't leave much of a mark.

The only bright spot in the whole movie is Sheeba Chaddha who lighted up the screen . The rest of the movie was super dull.

Varun Grover is a good poet as well as his stand ups are worth a watch.. but it's not necessary everyone can be good at everything.

In my view , skip this movie and watch Kota Factory!
