Juval Marlon isn't someone Id call a great director and mostly seems to copy Marian Dora but that doesn't stop him from occasionally doing something decent. I personally think Suffer Little Daughter is a major improvement over the past work of his and contains more of a story which makes the violence at the end much more powerful. Still basically a dora copy and is similar to pesthuach in ways but it overall works as a nasty and mean viewing experience. The soundtrack is also a winner in this and I was glad it were included in my edition. The biggest disadvantage is the lack of good gear in Marlons films because I think he could do really good with a new camera.
Last year David Stojan released Slave Dolls and let me say it was a film I very much enjoyed for how extreme and how stylish it was. It was a good hard hitter. When slave dolls 2 was announced i was admittedly quite excited and anticipated the latest release from the ever-growing New Order Films. But nevertheless this is a major disappointment. Instead of a full feature film like the original we have a 15 minute short film that feels more like an editing display reel from stojan. The editing is good but the rest of the actual film doesn't offer much. There's a few nasty sequences but sometimes they're hard to see, i'm sorry to say this did not live up to my expectations at all and is a major downgrade from the original film.
Man Idk what to say about this one. Some mix of body horror and arthouse surrealism. It's always gross with a lot of scenes of odd bodily functions. One scene features teeth being removed from a hand which was totally disgusting. The visuals and music and overall production value are much better than usual for underground standards and are even comparable to Marian Dora films. And that's what makes this even more impressive because the film was just made only by Jacob B Green who also isn't afraid to commit himself to the very revealing performance. One could could guess an entirely solo film would be boring but Green pulls it off really well and manages to pull various grotesque scenes off.
