Except being a tiny bit stretched in second half, this movie is a delight to watch. The screenplay, cinematography, art, direction, characters are fantastically done. Manikandan is such a natural actor and the movie is shot so beautifully that one can't help comparing it with the fine movies in malayalam cinema that portrays the plight of a common man in a manner that you feel you are there in it, next to them, and see it happening. Very immersive story with a great acting and portrayal of characters by all the actors. First half is a delight to watch but second half felt lengthy and some segments felt unnecessarily stretched. Songs are less but beautiful and are in sync with the story. One time watch in theater definitely. Sometimes we all need a break from the masala and commercial movies that show unrealistic things. This is good cinema technically and otherwise.
He's old now, he should realize that hang his boots. Face is CGI, how prabhas's face was created for radhe shyam movie. Pooja hegde is the only reason this movie could have been tolerated a bit. Venkatesh also couldn't live up to his grandeur, thanks to the skills of the director. Songs and choreography are cringe and even offending. All side actors were bad. Shweta tiwari's daughter looked and acted really bad. There is one side actor who does so much eyebrow threading that it's the only thing that shows up on his face. Many good actors like Aasif Shaikh, Abhimanyu Singh were wasted. Actions are watchable. Overall, not worth watching on OTT too.
This movie shouldn't have been released in theater. It was only fit for a free OTT release. Shikha Talsania does a coolie no. 1 again. Suara is usual, full of overacting. Ambiguous and double meaning dialogues throughout, very predictable. No clue or plot where movie is going. A cliche subject, not offering anything new. There is nothing in the dil beyond it's one-line plot and it's almost excruciating to finish in theater. A 5 Cr budget movie is not gonna offer quality definitely. The gender statement that they were trying to make was lost in oblivion as the movie progressed. Completely avoidable.
