The best: Likely going to be the biggest earning film of all time, so if you judge success by numbers, this film is the best. The worst: All the negative comments about this film are true, regrettably true, such a shame.

Movie making has not been the same since the end of the 70's possibly the 80's.

Lack of money, bad actors, economics, no more fresh ideas or stories and technology have all conspired to deteriorate the industry.

This movie as are most of the recent releases, is a CGI geeks dream come true!

It's really sad when only a handful of artists or companies can garner so much business from one product that is not really worth the asking price.

It takes money to make money and that is exactly what is happening here.

I typically enjoy Canadian films however I cannot really recommend The Jazzman because I find the acting (particularly Corey Sevier) poor for the most part. I also find the storyline not well developed, I found it too sparse. I realize there must have been a tight budget but the overall cinematography seems constrained and narrowly focused to me. I never felt a connection to the actors or the story while watching.

I do agree that the music was great and in some cases superb and that it helps the movie become more palatable. I think the storyline can be re-interpreted and possibly reworked for a remake of this movie that will make it a bigger success.
