Definitely something you haven't seen before - tying together a lot of current applicable areas of conflict in todays bifurcated political world such as Covid, Covid vaccinations, LGBTQ rights and racism - tied together with a fictional virus to show how a divided world reacts to adversity.
A pretty strong cast, and while the lower budget is evident in certain shots / wardrobe, it plays well and has a tangibly indie feel that's refreshing.
It would have been nice to see a slightly more developed relationship between some of the main characters so we could sympathize more with their predicament/ very evident anguish later on in the film, and I thought that the music bed wasn't necessary to be constantly playing though out some scenes - but overall it's an ambitious and gripping experience. Just prepare for a bit of frontal nudity as well.
