  • This movie rules!

Even in 2025,. This movie still holds up great. Cliffhanger has a great cast, amazing scenery and stuntwork.

The 90s action genre is one of my favorites and this one is definitely up amongst the best of the best in that era. The visuals are unmatched with much of it being real. The stunt where the guy zips down between two planes in midair still is amazing to watch and something that wouldnt happen today for sure.

There are a few parts where the disbelief has to be suspended for the sake of the movie but a lot of movies from this time have there flaws.

Outside of Rocky and Rambo, this is easily one of Stallone's greatest movies. Highly recommend giving this a watch.

  • Good steamy flick

Things in this movie dont make a lot of sense, but it is rather enjoyable and well shot. Its a little more upbeat then 9 1/2 weeks and has a decent plot.

I do enjoy the soundtrack and cinematography of this movie, which is typical of Zalman King films of this era. Tyson and the lead Sherilynn Fenn have good chemistry. A particular highlight is the scene with the video camera.

If you like Zalman King and his style of movies you are sure to like this one. Its not an award winner by any stretch but it is a good way to zone out and enjoy some good TnA. It is not without shortcomings, but you will find it enjoyable.

  • definitely not as bad as reviews say

Decent little low budget actioner. Cast of largely unknowns does a decent enough job at telling a story you have seen before. I rated this one a 8 to offset some of the 1s, its not THAT bad but realistically like a 5. The plot revolves around a couple going to vacation in the backwoods somewhere and they stumble upon a cabin with a hidden room full of weapons and other things. The husband gets killed and the wife is left for dead. She is convincing enough as our heroine, and can kick some major butt. Worth a watch if solely for the short run time.

  • Its a classic, never gets old!

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Tight pacing, an excellent cast and a great plot make up an all time thriller. Gene Hackman, Will Smith, Jon Voight along with Tom Sizemore, Jack Black, Barry Pepper, Scott Caan, Jason Lee and Gabriel Byne make up the star studded cast.

The chase scenes in the movie are excellent due to Tony Scott's eye for film. The movie looks great and has a very interesting plot which is still relevant to this day.

All together its probably Tony Scott's 2nd best movie to True Romance and its very easy to watch. Don't miss this one!

  • Unrated cut is an improvement

I was a little kind of disappointed when I watched the normal version of this as it feels like it teases so much more. Luckily I was able to track down the unrated cut and it offers some extended dialogue scenes and more "steamy" content.

That being said, its still not great. Nina Siemaszkos character is not very likable but this is probably a part of her situation in the film. Its got a pretty decent cast all in all but Robert Davi and Christopher Macdonalds characters could have used more time.

I like the filmography, soundtrack, overall setting, and costumes for the actors which is where this movie scores points in my opinion. If it was named something else it would probably score better.

  • Good villain elevates a pretty average movie

To start, im a big fan of Steve O's older works. I really havent seen much after Exit Wounds which I consider his last true classic so when I found a cheap copy of this I said why not. Surprisingly this is more then watchable. It had a interesting plot and some nice locations used for filiming. I really enjoyed Matt Schulze as well who can chew up screentime and is a great bad guy. Some bad dubbing here and there and obvious doubles are to be expected but if you are watching this for a well made movie you are watching the wrong movie.

Overall this was pretty decent. Helped by the tight run time and a nice over the top Matt Schulze of The Transporter and FF series.

Far from his worst efforts but its still for the diehards only.

  • Highly enjoyable movie

If you are coming into this thinking it will be an erotic thriller based on the cover, you would be mistaken. This movie feels like it could be set in the Bad Boys universe and even has the guy who did the music in Bad Boys (Mark Mancina). Its a very fast paced movie with a great cast and is not to be taken too seriously. Sure there are some corny lines but if you like good mindless fun this is the movie for you.
