I saw the title and that Timothy Spall was in it and switched on the first episode with great excitement. This emotion very soon evaporated and was replaced by disapoinment.
Apart from the excellent Timthy Spall this whole show is, in my opinion, a waste of my time watching it.
It is difficuly to quantify how bad the other actors interpret their roles. Badly is my first thougt. THis is folowed by overacting.
I strugled through the first episode hoping it would improve. It did not. Halfway through the second episode, I gave up.
Why do they do this to TV programmes? It could have been so good. The plots I saw were good. It was simply the acting (apart from Mr. Spall).

The storyline ws good. The acting, except for Jennifer Lopez, who overacted evey scene, was pretty good. The special effects were at times outstanding. It is hard to get past Lopez's excretable part playing when critiquing this movie.
I turned it on because the Netflix revew looked interesting. I did not realize that Jennifer Lopez was playing a part. It was only when I saw how bad a part Atlas was playing that I looked the movie up on IMDB. From then on the whining and crying and overacting were clear.
This woman is famous for being famous and nothing more. Even so, I was entertained by the movie. I enjoyed the story.

I really enjoyed this series. It has a good plot with sevral mini sub-plots. ALl good. I like Aussie TV serials and have rarely seen a bad 'un. The main plot is basically a who dun it and the whole plot revolves around who killed a young girl. The main cop character is himself complex with his own set of problems. The main characters are well filled out and easy to relate to.
THE MOST ANNOYING part on this whole series was the awful loud banging noises that pass for incedental music. I really wish that the producer had not allowed this as it spoils many scenes. Apart from that I liked it. Bad music too.

John Whyndam wrote a great book that was concise and thrilling through its short pages in 1957. Wolf Rilla did an intelligent and suspenseful under 2 hour movie in 1960.
The story has now been dragged into the 21st century where it does not fit. It is well cast and acted and the story amplified and expanded. After episode 1, I re-read the book. Later I watched Wolf Rilla's film again.
Hands down the book is better than Rilla's offering and this Sky effort falls a long, long way short of both. Why do the 13 year olds making this stuff think they can improve a really good story? Was I disappointed? No. I started watching with low expectations and was still somewhat disappointed.

Initially, this looked like it wuld be a great series. The CGI of the Atk space ship are really good. The ship looked amazing on screen. Once the first episde started mt initial enthusiasm evaproated quickly. Poor acting, unexplained sub-plots, and in-plot management decisions that were frankly banal. Yes there is, at times, acres of you people's skin on show but this never makes up for to absolure crap that happens within the various scenes.
I waded throught the first two episodes and gave up. I really think that this was just a waste of my time to watch and I am writing this review to warn off others from wasting theit time too.

In series one there is a strong story line. The motivation of all the main characters is clear. The various relationships are built and the characters expanded. Here it is possible to relate to the various story lines and sub-plots. There are some dark humorous parts too.
In series two the main plot having lost it main focus in series one, it just fades into chaos. New characters are suddenly introduced from nowhere and this basically changes the whole storyline.
I enjoyed series one quite a lot. I found series two to be scattered and inconsistent. Lou Diamond Phillips is a great actor but he missed hos directing mark with series two.

A good movie and a good plot based on a true story. However I saw the original of this as The Man Who Never Was a long time ago. Look it up on imdb
Quite frankly I prefer the original in spite of the illustrious cast and good production.

The entire series is well acted and the plots are good. However the scene lighting is just so dark that even on a 65-inch TV the image is just not enjoyable.
I watched both series and was glad when it finished. It is so miserable that it makes Eastenders look positively happy.

We struggled through the first episode and I do not think we shall be watching any more.
I'll disregard all the politics and hate going on here and just say that whilst I thought the acting and the sets were first class, the whole concept was lost to me. I hated the flash-forward-backs. These added nothing except confusion.
I gave it 3/10 and I tink I was being very generous.

As my title says, I very much enjoyed the first two seasons. With season 3, the acting is just as good and the sets are great too. However the plot or story line is just rubbish. Some of the dialogues are simply banal. It is a shame because the concept is unique. I probably shall not watch the rest of this season.
Initially this looked as if it would be a really good crime series. The interplay between the two principles pointed to history together. That was what happened. Lots of meaningless flashbacks that will one day, no doubt be explained and complete the story.
Life is too short to carry an entire plot across all episodes.
This series is totally ruined by all the flashbacks. If they had just told the story from beginning to end then it would have been a decent production.
I got halfway through episode two and stopped. No redeeming features.
