Engaged by the two main characters however the ending was dumb. The first hour gets into their lives and how they lived. Listening to the crazy mother inlaw gave me "August Osage" vibes. If you enjoyed that movie, I suspect you'll sorta like this one. I really wished the ending matched the impression Diane Lanes character gave in the beginning of the movie. However she was the biggest disappointment nor was she believable. I will say I was happy to see them together in a movie. I believe they're great actors who deserve more roles, hopefully that will happen. The scenery was beautiful so there's that.

I've tried watching this show but can't tolerate Philip Mena. He's as interesting as dry toast, giving the news wearing his "Morning Joe" pullovers without any personality. He's been on Early today long enough to have improved but hasn't. Unfortunately NBC seems to overlook good talent right under their nose. Maybe their trying to meet some sort of quota but this morning duo doesn't cut it. The early morning shows are usually a place for young talent to learn to hone their skills. I don't know how NBC can compete with their competitors for early viewers going forward. I know as a viewer it helps to hire people who compliment each other.

Why use actors in reenactments? Would it be too difficult to preside over real cases? Is Lauren Lake a real judge? I would like it if it showcased real people and used actors. Many of the actors aren't only used over and over but they often "over act" by rolling the eyes, that's the comedic part...lol. I enjoy Judge Judy and The People's Court with Marilyn Milan, they're the only two worth watching right now. I appreciate that both keep participants in line instead of a free for all. This is my problem with this show as well, the litigants constantly argue without any correction from the "judge". I can't imagine any real judge allowing this kind of decorum in their presence.
