smjm1982-1's rating
I don't know why this does not get a 10, while it is very hard to rate a movie since so different people are please by different aspects in a movie this was a truly creative romance story.
When I say creative I mean that it didn't take fancy lights or characters dressed up in costumes to make it what it was. Like a good book is meant to draw you to it, I mean, the writer's job is to tell the story and both have you stay truly interested as well as feel it the way the writer feels it.
This is why I liked "The Holiday", I feel it truly, from beginning to end, managed to both keep me glued to it as well as the ability to really feel what the writer was trying to portray. That is where I say by definition, I would think the writer really hit the mark, the mark of course being a 10.
OK, now about what I really felt, not only did I love the movie, the story line but this is not what I consider a one shot (another words, a movie I see once then i'm done). This movie is able to put me in a mood and for that, it is a movie I would watch again from time to time. I hope others enjoy it as much as I have but I strongly recommend, at least see it once, you'll probably want to see it again, even more than once.

I really liked this movie, it is one of those movies that really sneak up on you and spook you more as it goes along but why doesn't it ever come out on TV or USA or TBS or HBO.. To all with the power to put this back on TV, please get it back on.. I know a few people who would like this movie. Other movies like this i'd like to see on TV, basic cable or premium (ie:HBO) Also mysteriously spooky movies i'd like to see along with this one.. The Changeling, Ghost Story These are movies that, while they may not have had a great rating.. they were great in that they were all eerie & spooky, unlike Jaws, it didn't just come right out and bite you but it spooked you and I would love to see all these back on TV, all of them were about an 8 in rating.
I don't know if it was because of the time in my life but this movie was so special in my heart. It's a wonderful life might as well been the remake of this. I love, love, loved this movie.. just one question --were did it go, it fell off the face of the earth, I think it came out again maybe 2 years after, then gone for good.
I would love to know why this movie isn't around anymore, never replayed on TV anymore, I don't know what kind of rating it got but if it was a poor rating, that was unjust! I stand behind the many comments you see here. What I would love to see in this order is, at best to at least...
At best: A faithful 1080p (1920x1080) release of this movie in HD with 5.1 sound as a blue-ray or HD-DVD release. I don't know that even the original master, even if it had this resolution has the color quality but if it could look great, it would be extra special.
That it starts to come up on, at least, a cable channel such as, maybe, TBS or USA or even just regular television during the pre-Christmas season or just about any time of the year.
At least: As a standard DVD release.
Please, please somehow bring this back.
Thanks
