My husband and I just saw WTC last night (we are both 26) and I didn't really want to go watch this Movie but it was WTC or Pulse...Through out the Movie I caught myself looking around the theater to see how others were reacting to the Movie, not quite sure why, I was into the Movie and the Characters..especially the 2 men trapped and their families. But during the whole Movie I found myself thinking about all the other people who died that day and what has happened since. The scenes from the Movie really make you re-live that day. I haven't seen Flight 93 or watched any other Movie, etc. related to 9/11 and now I know why. I respect the Story being told but it just made me think about how our World is today and worry about what to expect in the future........even more than I did.
My husband took me to see this for my Birthday 26, and it was weird but good, entertaining. I don't know why people are saying that they don't understand a lot of the things that happen through-out the movie because the movie makes a lot of sense, but the ending is very unpredictable. If you pay attention and listen to the beginning of the movie, say the first 30 minutes, then you will understand a lot of what happens in the cave, and the comments that are made between the characters. Beside just one CG slip up in the beginning, the monsters were scary and I peeked through my fingers a lot of the time. This movie is not just about monsters in the dark.....go see what I mean. I think it is at least worth day time admission. My husband and I talked about it for at least 2 days afterwards........I'm still trying to convince my husband that a certain character did a certain action for a certain reason.....
OK, so I went to see this with my mom who is over 55, my niece who is 15 and I am 26.....so you have assorted ages and opinions and point of views...Well we all thought is was going to be cute and funny but we didn't think we would laugh the whole time and think that it would actually have a good story to it. I thought that my mother and I liked it more than my niece did, I'm not sure if that was because we could relate to the moral of the story but I know she laughed a lot louder than we did at times. But we all laughed. The crowd was mostly teens. Compared to other movies out this summer I think it is worth paying the day or night rate. I would actually go see it again.
