I found the first two episodes a tad slow, probably could have been tildnin a single show. Overall an interesting and often heart breaking documentary that skipped some important developments and story lines in the last 3 or 4 episodes (I'm guessing more to do with legal legal/rights issues than anything. I loved the fact that it was more about connecting to community than the bottom line. I would have much preferred to have seen more if a community reaction during the Wembley game but overall this doc slowly draws you in and makes you care about the players and supporters. I'm hoping series two focuses more on that than ownership.
This was brilliant in its day; funny, self deprecating, brilliantly acted, etc, but it wasn't until I recently found Season 02 on DVD that I was reminded of this. It's such a shame that it had the reputation of 'only' being a 'filler' during the writers' strike, it was so much more than that. Please, if you have the chance, give this short lived TV show a chance, I'm pretty sure you won't regret it
..... The Work Outing is by far, for me anyway, the funniest moment on television from any country, in the history of broadcasting!
