Being a "Cynical Old Git" it is rarely now I achieve The Childhood Satori of Suspension of Belief. Sound of Thunder allows me to achieve this. At first I found it difficult to believe that people would be dressed in 2055 as was the dress code of 1955 of course that is explained in the End Titles of The Author Being Ray Bradbury It was simply a beautiful L'homage to The Author and His Times As I have managed to Avoid both the "Dinosaur Parks" or whatever They're are called Likewise "The Day After Tomorrow" was Yesterday's News also "28 Days Later" passed me by. I told you I was a Cynical Old Git But "A Sound of Thunder" resonates and sings to my Kyoto Protocol genetic programme in that we The Greatest Destroyer This Planet has ever seen are also paradoxically It's Greatest Protector and if we cause The Greatest Cosmological SNAFU (If you don't know ask any War Vet) Then we alone know how to repair it, It's Like A Cosmological Snakes and Ladders. As for the Reason The Electrical Circuits still worked well they were built in that reality. Every Timewave alters everything and nothing. Higher Life is altered not mineral. Just as The Batman and Superman Reality is Tied to It's Original Times Likewise is "A Sound Of Thunder" I Hope Ray is Satisfied By The Crystallisation of His Vison. This is an Amazing Film in that it is about something, almost lost in this Twenty first century. In this throwaway society to be taken back to the World of Craft: In This Case This Beautiful Maiden's Love and almost Worship of Spices the way she empathises with them allows her to act as The Foodie Eqivalence of The Now regarded Noble Profession of Aromatherapist. The True Calling of The Crafts men or Craftswomen whoso immerse themselves in the nuances and resonances of their craft or calling is alas something we so rarely see today. So until We can have A Mistress of Spices in every City Town Village or Neighbourhood. This Film is the closest we can get to The Magical Shangrila of The Mistress of Spices.
