  • I'm no critic just a movie watcher, 'Word!'

The movie is about a disbanded rap group with potential that never materialised and we see where each member is at later in life, the movie handles social and political themes but at the core It's a character piece.

Heavy characterisation is what makes this film shine there's no real melodrama or climax or foreshadowing (hate that) just people living out their lives and we get a view at it, and with such an approach writing is key which this movie nails, the writing is authentic in a way that's comfortable to watch, it's like it takes pains not necessarily to be real but ideal. Its stylings remind me of a Richard Linklater film and in much the same way after the film is finished it leaves me pondering about life.

User reviews these days are overly critical throwing out big words ;) and handing in what seems like school assignments but I watch films, read books, play games or do anything ENTERTAINING to be entertained a place where critiquing should stay out. When I finish a movie I ask myself did I enjoy it if yes I don't waste effort explaining why I didn't enjoy it more. I always say if you're a 7/10 movie then be the best version of a 7/10 movie and when achieved you want for nothing when the credits roll and the same is true with Big Words.

  • Excellent Movie

I was surprised to find out that zach braff the star of the TV show scrubs was directing a movie. Being a fan of zach braff i found myself very hopeful before watching garden state. What really made this movie great was how it develop, the first few minutes seems quite average and you begin to believe that their is not much more the film will offer but as you watch on and introduction of Natalie Portmans character you develop and interest her character introduces so many aspects and emotions into the film.

Zach braff went all out on this film and i can only hope he will continue to direct and produce films. Garden state has the unique element of witnessing the director act and this is evident in the role of largemen, zach braff nows what he wants and thus acts it out to perfection. The unsung hero though of the film is not largemans character but natalie portmans characters she remains mysterious and her ability to lie in situations that do not call for it is something that i thing the audience can relate to and though she is perceived as a quite different or unique character there are qualities within her that the viewers relate to thus the audience is drawn to her character. Her outlook on life is one we all wish to have were she looks at all situations positively.

The final comment to make is that this movie excels the introduction of comical moments transcending into serious moments keeps the audience on there toes and unaware of what will happen next. this is an awesome film and deserves nothing but a 10/10.

  • The Best Cartoon Ever

The best cartoon by far. Zoids chaotic century possesses all the ingredients that make it a great cartoon. whilst following van and his companions on their journey you really feel as if your their. the cast and crew have researched and developed a cartoon that i would say is heads above its competitors. What makes Zoids so entertaining is how viewers experience how each individual within the story develops and grows. The diversity within emotions displayed, during the course of this cartoon makes it more gripping and entertaining, whether its Fiona's gentle loving side or Ravens' Raging side the viewer is still left in suspense and eager for more. Zoids is a revolutionary cartoon and you never get bored watching the seasons. I thoroughly enjoyed this cartoon and I take my hat of to the producers and developers for creating a work of art.
