Let me start by saying I am a huge horror aficionado of multiple medias especially film and television so naturally I was initially attracted to this. Like others have said, the 1st two episodes are promising, one might even go as far as to say 'Lovecraftian.' Then it all falls apart, by attempting to use LGBT ideas to a lesser degree (actually was much more acceptable than the latter) and the repetitive degrees of over the top racism to a larger degree....this is a terrible show. Its really REALY trash and uses the current political unrest in America as some type of fuel to justify and exemplify nonsense. What the.... NO!! That is not what most viewers want that are watching this. Go ahead and make a separate show about racism and then one about Lovecraft or even just horror! What a complete waste of time. I am happy I watched every episode because there is ZERO doubt how atrocious this garbage truly is.
Have seen this so many times I feel I am part of the movie. Having said that, it absolutely is in my top 3 movies of all time. Its unique edge is so surreal yet believable that its hard not to wish there was a sequel. The tragic passing of the film's star only cements the legacy of this masterpiece. Highly recommended for those who like the darker side of life and accept that in such, there can still be joy and peace.
