I'm not a Hocus Pocus super fan or anything, but I have always thoroughly enjoyed the first movie since I was young.
The sequel took my happy feelings about the first one and curb stomped them into the ground. Seriously, this movie is absolutely terrible. I literally felt no emotion while watching it other than tiny sections provoking a small sense of sadness and anger within me. It genuinely felt like a parody of the first movie, and a serious cash grab for Bette Midler and the other washed up actresses.
The jokes weren't funny, the spontaneous musical scenes were lame, and the acting was below subpar (by everyone).
I know it's supposed to geared towards the younger crowd, but how can ANYONE actually watch and enjoy this mess. Some questions are just best left unanswered.

The movie as a whole was alright, mainly because Peter Dinklage was it's saving grace. The probably absurd plot (I don't believe this situation could happen to elderly people) and the feminist overtones with absolutely evil "antiheroes" as the main characters really turned me off. That said I have never hoped main characters of a movie would be killed off as much as these. I hate them with all my heart. I changed from original rating from 2 to 7 because of the ending. I LOVED IT! : )
I love shows about outer space (that's what got me intrigued to check this one out). Simply put this show is probably one of my favorite animes right now and it's a total shame that (as of writing this) it only has 6 reviews.
To summarize without any spoilers - a group of high school kids take a field trip to another planet and end up getting lost in space.
That is a very, very simplified version of this show. As you get deeper into it there are many complex elements that arrive leading to questions that vary from political to semi philosophical. There is hardly any violence in this show, but the adventure itself is a wonder to watch and the character building is among some of the best I've seen for only having 12 episodes.
This was such a refreshing show in the sci-fi genre that I want to buy the manga just to have it (and I don't own any manga!)
Just watch this show and enjoy the adventure.
