  • Kevin Smith is the REAL boss of NJ

The week of the movie coming out, I heard a rumor that one of those movie critics ( you know the guys who get payed to tell you what you should see and shouldn't see, and have no idea what the public actually wants to see ) actually walked out of this movie. Now I'm not going to lie, I did have some reservation of this movie coming out, only because the first one was such a great "cult" flick, but I was still very excited to see it, I mean come on its a new Kevin Smith Flick. ( the real boss of NJ ) But once I heard about the critic walking out I knew this movie was going to be awesome and probably one of his best yet. And man was it. Few movies actually make me laugh out loud ( and yes I spelled it out ) and this movie had me laughing the whole time. I'm still in awe on how they were able to get away with certain things, and for those who saw the movie, you know exactly what I am talking about. ( I'm taking it back ) It was great that they didn't use their "catch phrases" every other line, but just enough in key situations to make it even funnier. The one thing that kind of bothered me, was a lot of people in the theater that I went too were saying there should of been more with Jay and Silent Bob. But I hate to break it to them, and everyone else who agrees with that past statement. The movie was not about them. It was about the Clerks, Dante and Randal and how they are going through their lives. Remember the first movie?? They made appearances every once and awhile outside and did some funny stuff outside. And I don't think having them in every scene of the new clerks movie would of worked at all. But hey, that is my opinion and I could be wrong. Anyone else notice that kid who got a nickel bag off Jay was the same kid from Strikes Back?!? And much like Jay's hoody at the end, this movie did give Justice to the original Clerks.

  • Storyline?

Saw the movie last night, and I left feeling a little on the down side. Anyone who has seen the movie, read the spoilers, or has a loud mouth friend who has seen it, can tell you that 3 main characters died. I stayed until i saw the credits, but I hear that there was a different ending?? None the less, where was nightcrawler? Anyone..Anyone..? Kind of odd, and i know they do that in a lot of movies, but in X2 wasn't he considered a "main character." Seemed like they rushed through to the fight scenes, and trust me I love the fight scenes, but if I'm gonna pay almost $9 bucks, give me some substance. So, if you plan on seeing it, don't expect to see anything like the first two, go with a more open mind, and expect to see some of the characters die?!?

I had the privilege of seeing the live performance of these guys at my college and I laughed until I couldn't anymore, my sides hurt too much. I'm serious, they hurt. The show however..i didn't laugh as much, still the show was great. It seemed like most people who saw it didn't get it. I'm not sure if I even totally got it, but i do like those guys, all the way back from the state, and red hot American summer, classics in my eyes. I did enjoy the recurring jokes that popped up, its always nice to see that, or hear that? whatever..you get it. Hopefully it will come back on, they did give a nice push. This show and Reno i strongly believe had a nice cult following, and still do. If you can get your hands on the DVDs from Stella's live performances i suggest you buy them. Thats it for now.
