  • Elizabeth Bennet is Back!

Colin Firth's Pride and Prejudice series was made in 1995. Kiera Knightly did one in 2005. And while we all anxiously wait for what MUST be made in 2015, this vlog-style show is JUST what the doctor ordered! Everyone knows the characters, but this production really gives Elizabeth Bennet new life as a modern twenty-something with cute sisters and friends. It is just as it ought to be. Instead of balls and livings, there are weddings and student loans (Ugh! So true!). Any twenty-something can relate.

I sometimes find myself wanting MORE when I watch the Lizzie Bennet Diaries... specifically I want a glimpse of the elusive (and so far douche-y) Darcy. But there's something about Lizzie's narrative that makes me forget that only four of her characters have made appearances. Lizzie's opinions do the other characters justice and keep the retelling of the story honest. What twenty-something would invite a new acquaintance over to be on her video blog? Not I!

  • Amazing Premise, Writing, Acting, etc.

This is the ultimate show. On one level, the main character is pensive, socially awkward, zen-like, AMAZINGLY RICH, and completely ignorant of technology. But yet, something hidden there is the man he once was before his 12 years in prison... and he may not be as zen-like as he seems!

The relationship between Crews and his partner is also a very interesting aspect of the show.

I highly encourage watching this show... it won't disappoint you!! Its the quirkiest crime-drama I've ever seen, and I'm HOOKED, and I hope you will be, too! Enjoy!

The entire first season can currently be found on NBC.com for free! There's nothing holding you back! :-)

  • Amazingly Heartfelt.

I have never been a fan of Christina Ricci because she always plays teenagers, but in this movie, she earned my respect. It was clever and sweet, and completely worth watching. Reese Witherspoon makes a very small cameo, but is also delightful.

Ricci's portrayal of Penelope was so perfect. It could have been a very hollow performance, but she gave Penelope heart. I don't recall ever seeing such a moving PG rated movie! The other characters were amazing as well. It was a great surprise to see Catherine O'Hara (Home Alone, Beetle Juice) in the movie.

I definitely recommend taking the entire family to see this movie! The message is a truly wonderful! So, overall: Good Message, Good Acting, Good Story, Great Movie.
