While I did like this movie for what it was, I also felt slightly lied to. The trailer showed absolutely every funny part of the movie making you think it was a full comedy when really the movie had a lot more serious undertones. Also, Ryan is an amazing actor when playing funny and I am not saying he cannot do serious roles, but when I go to the theater thinking I am in for some Ryan laughs and am met with a grump of a character, I get grumpy. This is why trailers bother me, they can give you the wrong expectations. Just tell the truth and if we still come then you know it is good! Like I said, did not say I did not like it, just not what I thought.

The way that this documentary was laid out was perfect, there was not too many episodes, but there was just enough to intrigue you! When one episode ends they ended on a cliffhanger each time making you want to see the next episode and it slowly builds towards the ending perfectly! This story was so tragic, but you can learn so much on what to look for in your loved ones relationships for warning signs!

The premise of the show is good because you have a person who worked for the FBI interviewing real criminals actually serving prison time, however, Candice liked to go for the cheese factor or she was told to because her catch phrases could get annoying! Some of the things she said did not jive with what I had heard from other true crime experts, and it seemed to me she was a little vain when it comes to her physical appearance. Her professionalism seemed good and the criminals that were chosen for the interviews were great choices! Getting to hear directly from them what led up to their crimes and how they feel about everything now was very interesting to watch!
