It was like watching the anime version, but with a lot less expression, and the time was sped up.
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Itazura na Kiss. It's my all time favourite story about unrequited love. I've read the manga, watched the 2008 anime TV series, 1996 Itazura na Kiss TV dramas, Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo, and 3 parts of Itazura na Kiss the movie.
In my opinion, this third movie has a much faster pace, so character development is very difficult to bring up. The acting ability of the actors is also very ordinary, almost below average. Shooting and editing is also minimal effort. Very boring seeing every scene.
In the end, I can't understand whether they want to copy the anime to real life, or want to be in a standard love comedy style drama. Where they failed at both.
On the plus side, I like the visuals of the actors who resemble the characters in the anime. Especially Irie Naoki and his father. Actor with the best acting for me is Takanori Jinnai as Shigeo Aihara.
