The two main characters are very interesting. Actors take it seriously and put in an effort. Plot is ok. Pacing a little slow. The writing is, however, laughable in my opinion.
Troupes after troupes, stereotypes after stereotypes. When a character exhibits some stereotypes it's authentic, but when they are nothing but stereotypes it's just not good.
It's also not telling an Aussie outback story and more of creators wanting to tell such a story that is set in the outback. You don't see the authentic rural Queensland but just someone using the location to tell a story.
It's a good show to kill some time with, but you just cannot take it seriously from the beginning.

I watched the series the first time when I was living in Australia, my life was simple and I was naïve.
Then a lot happened, I was at the lowest point of my life (so far), having moved to two different countries after the first watch, I watched it again. I dare say it changed my life.
It taught me to stopping running away from my problems. My problems were always there, from the moment I was born. They follow me. There has to be a moment where I decide to face them, and it'll get easier from there.
People do a lot of things to avoid having to face their problems. Oftentimes they push themselves to go through even harder things to do that. Are you doing the hard things to solve your problems or to about them? That's the problem.
