A movie about football hooligans.
Set inside a prison (i.e. No football).
And the prison was entirely unconvincing.
And the 'hooligans' were all new from the first movie.
And the guards were like a bunch of wet lettuces.
And ooh, there's a fly...
So this is basically a bunch of big guys with awful London accents fighting at random. Mostly unconvincingly.
Story, acting, sound, camera, sound, pacing...hmm.
This is utter rubbish, on pretty much any level.
Now, all that's left is to decide if I should watch part 3 just to get the full set? Man, this world is cruel sometimes. I think I'll have a drink before making up my mind.

The sequel to Paul Tanter's He Who Dares continues to follow the Special Air Service (SAS) anti-hijacking counter-terrorism team. In this thriller, Christopher Lowe finds himself summoned to 10 Downing Street to be dishonorably discharged from the SAS for disobeying a direct order, despite the fact that he saved the Prime Minister's only daughter.
Merissa Porter takes over the role of martial arts sidekick from the brilliant Zara Pythian from the first film, and whilst she is'nt given much to bring to her role as Cassie, who it turns out is Pythian's characters sister, does show amazing coolness in the explosion scene when the door of Number 10 flies off it's hinges, barely missing her. Exceptional filming or bad health and safety protocol?, you decide. The back bencher who becomes Lowe's ally in the early part of the film, and who gets shot, deserved really to come out of the carnage alive. It did seem a bit odd that, when Lowe rescues a group of hostages, he never mentions him slumped bleeding to death in the toilets!. Whilst there are a few minor glitches in the narrative, for example why, when the government whip was murdered, no one in Downing Street deactivated his pass card?. However, if little things like this were addressed, where would the fun be in a film?. Low budget, but not low entertaining, Downing Street Siege ticks all the boxes for the action film fan.

What a treat to see the amazing, fun & clever anthology film Video Shop Tales of Terror on a cinema screen. Shot mostly at The Mercury where we are this weekend, each of the stories are different. This is a love letter to the VHS and video nasty era.
Video shop Tales of Terror had a cracking premier at Horror On Sea and is an indie horror anthology with some solid segments and fun faux trailers. It focuses on the old VHS days and is definitely one to watch with your mates! Kudos to all involved for making this, fun and bonkers anthology happen The Evil Dead segment is just absolute genius & the segments between the films are inspired.
Check it out if you can.
