What an endless sack of misery. The base and heart of America, according to American Primeval, is one of greed, cynicism, nihilism, fear, despair and violent death. While I'm sure this story is reasonably accurate for describing how life was like for most folks in mid-nineteenth century America, and while it may have a solid thesis for how it got to where it is today, myself personally I'm tired of films and shows where everybody dies and the villains ultimately win because this is somehow deeper and more meaningful. The only reason the world is this way is because people make it so, and the only way to make it better is to not entertain the notion that this is the only way the world can be.
However! If the above jibes with your philosophy, and your idea of a good time, there's a lot recommending American Primeval to you. It does look gorgeous, the acting is absolutely believable and some of the writing rings true. If not the sense of scale in the Americas or the behaviour of wolves. Enjoy and wallow happily in your despair.

Jerry Seinfeld very nearly learned to act for UnFrosted, his first- possibly, maybe- live action major motion picture... on Netflix. Seinfeld is Bob Cabana, a visionary at a wholly fictional Kelloggs Cereal in the early 60s. When news arrives that arch-rival Post, fronted by cereal matriarch Amy Schumer, is developing a game-changer in the breakfast arena he is determined to get there first with the help of NASA marketing genius Melissa McCarthy. The result: Pop Tarts, and a made-up spot in fake history.
There's a lot of bad reviews of this show, and yet again an unnecessarily low IMDB score. C'mon, this ain't so bad, folks! There's a hundred jokes a minute being lobbed at the viewer, and a good third of them land with a solid laugh. The film is whimsical and silly, and uses its budget wisely on comic talent, mascot costumes and renting classy cars for Seinfeld to drive.
Unfrosted is fun and stupid, colourful and relentless, without any nutritional value whatsoever. It does exactly what it said it would on the box.
