I can hardly ask for more from any movie than I got here. It wasn't boring for a moment, it amazed me, touched me, made me feel joy and sadness, the beautiful balance of it all in a life. It made me think afterwards, made me go over all the metaphors, all the situations I could relate with.
I could connect so many moments in my life to the moments in Parthenope's. I can't remember a movie that did this, and specially that did it for anything but big, important, memorable moments. Here, I connected with the long forgotten small ones, I remembered them and felt again.
Either this movie is tailored to my liking, or more likely it contains so many emotions brought authentically by fabulous performances, bizarre and breathtaking scenes, views on life, that it can make you think over them for hours and days after the watch.

After watching this one last week on the FEST film festival, I needed to take a break before writing a review. I was so shocked. I got stuck with overwhelming reality showcased in this remarkable picture. That being said, I'd wish I went to some horror film, I'd be less distraught after watching it. But this film makes you think, and think deeply. For that reason, I'm glad I've seen it.
Mira is a child whose whole world and whole life will forever be stained by continuous molesting she endures by her stepfather. But she doesn't know it yet, and what's worse, nobody is there to help here, even though she's surrounded by so many people. This film shows all the emotions one child can have when encountering the molester, the friends, the family - and being totally alone.
Remarkable, impactful and such a disturbing movie.

I watched this film as a part of FEST film festival and it was so cool that it's in Chech, being subtitled. I'd reccomend watching it in original language.
The movie is about our inner light and how it changes those around us. It is placed in dreamy city during snow season and holidays. Abstract and colourful, it draws attention of both adults and children.
The beautifuly animated characters and world give the film dream-like feeling. Plot is simple and pretty, sometimes slow and focused on visual and audio experience. I'd rate it even higher but it's still, at it's core, animated film suited foe children.
