  • First laugh, then think - A must watch

This is a comedy movie from the outset and the situation, the characters, the incidents were properly written to generate lot of humor. But is it only a comedy movie to make people laugh..?

I guess not. There is an underneath layer which speaks about some social issues like sad realities of a middle class family, opportunistic people, father son relationships and how it related to education, mythical beliefs, etc.

It's like we laugh at ourselves by watching this movie. We live among these various issues and we don't see them as such. The power of cinema is such that it can show these in a different way so that the society can see and think about these issues. Great movie. A must watch.

  • What if...

A beautiful, moving piece of elevated artistry that will take you through the journey of two childhood sweethearts who took different paths, now trying to understand who they were and who'd they become and most importantly WHAT IF some of those earlier decisions were taken differently.

This movie touches the difference in cultures they've grown up and some religious beliefs both of them accustomed to and another person who is trying to understand the both main characters and what his role between them.

This movie talks about the past lives of the two main characters and the decisions that were taken in the past and realizing that it is little bit too late now to change anything and finally, ending with some hope in the next life.

  • Neymar scored a goal in the first half, none in second half

A story which had protential to be a great family drama around a dog, two friends and a girl, was distracted by an unnecessary pondicherry chapter.

First half was great with the story set in typical Keral village area, with some relatable incidents to the real life involving a notorious dog who was adapted by a boy to impress a girl he was after. Real conflicts were started to create among family members and the villagers because of the dog. On the other side, a real love story was started to blossom because of that same dog. On top of all those, a real friendhip was trying to balance all those incidents tactically with funny moments.

But suddenly, that story stopped half way and whole another incidents were shown in Pondicherry which was not good for me. Either the movie should have continued the first half story or first half should have been built for the second half story.

Nevertheless, Naslen and Matthew Thomas plus the dog made the movie watchable till the end. 😊
