This movie brings you back to Pannaiyarum Padminiyum days. It's set in a grammathu set up and explores the role of distant relatives so eloquently. Total opposite of what serial these days portrays relatives as- maybe serial directors need to learn a thing or two from this gem of a movie.
From childhood home, and reminiscing old memories this movie does its justice well. Second half of the portion (a small part) shows the nuances of jallikattu and how some villagers still address people with innocence and love.
Aravindswamy and karti did justice to their role and this movie was totally well executed. Easily one of the best feel good movie of this year.

I badly wanted to like this movie because of the good casting- varalaxmi and ganesh venkatraman. But unfortunately, the movie was too painful to watch with unnecessary portions, lengthy climax and nonsense storyline. It appeared to have very lazy script writing, re-edited many times and some portions missing with lazy screen play.
Some scenes didnt make any sense. Some scenes didnt deliver. Overall, it was a below average movie inspired from kolaiyuthir kalam and probably other crime thriller involving single mother and her kid living alone in a lonely cabin by the wood.
Songs were average. Villain did a good job but he wasnt utilised properly. Decent in some portions like the flashbacks but overall? Meh.

Very different genre of Jeeva movie from the usual chocolate boy role he does. I feel like the first half of this movie is beautiful beyond words. It interludes between inter-religion marriage, love, life of gypsy, and fusion of culture. Could have kept it at that pace.
Second half of movie- politics, violence, racial riots and it felt like two different movies in a single watch. Although the social message was good, it felt like that portion was overdone and unnecessary. Its a two time watch just for the beautiful love story it shows. Overall, definitely a good attempt and lovely songs. Especially katre song with horse.
