I went in expecting a smart rom-com and walked out feeling like someone had gently cracked my chest open. Materialists isn't your typical glossy love story-it's raw and real and says a lot about how we date now, especially when we think we've got it all figured out. The kind of film that makes you laugh, ache, and reflect all at once.
The casting? Perfect. Chef's kiss. Dakota Johnson is all kinds of layered as Lucy. Pedro Pascal is magnetic. And yes-I'm completely biased, but Chris Evans as John? Give me a break. I'm a puddle. He brings this quiet depth that just hits. Every look, every pause-he's devastating in the softest way. I'll be thinking about his character for a long time.
Visually, it's stunning. So many little details that feel lived-in, not staged. And the dialogue is so natural-it doesn't feel like a movie trying to be clever. It just is.
More than a love triangle, it's a beautifully written commentary on what we want vs. What we need-and how scary it is to choose for ourselves.
Go see it. Bring tissues. And maybe don't plan anything after-you'll need time to sit with it.

Thunderbolts really brought back that classic Marvel vibe I've been missing. I'm such a sucker for a team of antiheroes, and this crew just works. The chemistry is chaotic in the best way. Messy, funny, a little dark, and somehow still hopeful. It doesn't try to be too big, it just leans into the characters, and that's what makes it hit.
Every time Bucky showed up, I swear I sat up straighter. There's just something about him. He doesn't have to say much, but you feel everything. He's still carrying so much weight, trying to find his place in a world that keeps changing, and honestly, same. I could watch a whole movie of just him silently judging everyone while being the reluctant dad of the group.
And Florence stole every damn scene. Yelena is chaotic, dry, hilarious, weirdly heartfelt, and painfully relatable. I'd follow her into any fight, even if she's roasting me the whole way. If this is the future of Marvel, more heart, more grit, more flawed outcasts then I'm absolutely here for it.

This episode kept me guessing the entire time. I'm usually pretty good at predicting where shows are headed, and I thought I had it all figured out. So, I settled in, ready to watch the story unfold as I expected.
To my surprise-and to my delight-I was completely wrong. The ending had a comical touch that I didn't see coming, making the entire experience even more entertaining.
This might actually be the only episode in the series that made me chuckle, which is a rare feat for American Horror Stories. The mix of suspense and humour worked so well.
Although, It didn't give me the normal chills I get from AHS.
I still thoroughly enjoyed this episode.
