  • Latex dressing BDSM Latex men

This sci-fi from the 60s combines the horror of American sci-fi movies of invading aliens with British comedy, witful and ironic.

It is however showing its age and despite it being a rather early breakthrough sci-fi movie, it sadly is a bit too ambitious for its bugdet. The robot aliens looks ridiculous, like giant hoovers that is not particularly scary and what is up with the steam weapon, are they driving kettles? Just silly.

The aliens capture humans and enslave their minds, making them latex wearing robot men. It is humourous to watch these robot men dress up in latex and slightly whip their other human captured humans. Are we watching some BDSM cave club ?

The movie is just silly and action scenes are totall lame and non-convincing. I'd rather watch Star Trek and Captain Kirk than this mess.

And the "smart professor" played by Cushing is just stating the obvious, well except the last theory of the underground plot the aliens are planning. Now that was just dumb science.

  • Feelgood 90s Splasher movie !

I enjoyed watching this movie. I grew up in the 90s with impressive disaster movies such as «Dante's peak».

The effects in «Hard Rain» are also good, the rain is Biblical and is flooding a small town in US where Christian Slater is trying to move money working as a security guard driving in an armored transport from A to B without a scuba-gear.

The category of this movie is an action flick, but as many Slater movies, it is not a very brutal action flick, instead it feels a bit goofy.

Also, the choice of Morgan Freeman as a villain is a huge mistake. Instead I am waiting for him to narrate about fishes in the water or his usual documentary stuff. He is just not a convincing antagonist.

The movie gets some plot twists later on as more people get to know about the money being transported and greed makes humans do a lot of bad things.

But if you are in a mood to revisit the 90s and watch a goody and adventurous Slater action flick and felt Broken Arrow with Slater and Travolta wasnot enough, you can pack your umbrella and watch this flick!

And to quote Brandon Lee in «The Crow» from 1994 - Can't rain all the time!

  • Well executed honorary show filled with talent!

The Mark Twain Prize has been awarded to Conan O'Brien. Conan popped up on Television in 1993 and his entire career has been marked by his personality of combining his huge confidence with a heart-warming talent of talking to all kinds of people, from celebrities to everyday people.

Conan sometimes does wild and rude comedy, such as making fun of David Letterman's beard looking like Mark Twain's beard TODAY at the stage, but these comedians are known for agreeing that you can joke about everything and there is no doubt that the audience of this show is not the largest fans of today's Trump administration.

Be prepared for a lot of fun acts by guests honoring Conan, such as Adam Sandler, Bill Burry and Cona's trusty compadre Andy Richter.

Conan O'Brien redefined talk shows into a new style, much more youthful and playful that the drooling style of celebrities that was the standard up until 1993.

  • Drama movie that revolves around an important subject

The movie takes place mostly huffing and puffing along with main actress Naomi Watts, lost in the woods in desperate need to get back to civilization as she receives calls about a situation developing at her son's school.

The movie is similar to other movies, like "The Guilty" with Jake Gyllenhaal and "The Call" starring Hale Berry, where phone calls are central to the plot. Sometimes in this movie, you feel almost like listening to a podcast.

At the same time, the movie serves kind of as a an Apple commercial, witnessing all the marvelous ways an iPhone can be used such as facetime, augmented reality, voice control, multiple simultaneous calls, Bluetooth and other marvels.

What really annoys me in this movie is the fact that Naomi Watts seemingly marvels at handling the iPhone, and at the same time holds the phone when jogging. Any pro Apple user that is jogging would use a wristband to avoid having to hold the smartphone in the hand all the time.

Also, Naomi Watts can both text and jog at the same time!

I am still not giving the movie a bad score, since it touches an important topic in modern day USA. I willl not reveal too much of the actual plot, just to say that the movie in the end made me cry a bit and the acting bit, although most is centered around Naomi Watts, was pretty solid still.

  • Beautiful background scenery, simple plot

Cinematography and scenery is beautiful and lifts the crime series. We want to see more of this, maybe some episodes from the Norwegian border ? I live in Trondheim, Norway, and Åre is close to this city. Åre is the major alpine sports ski resort in Sweden and also popular place to visit by Norwegians. Åre is close to Norwegian border.

    Now, about the series.

It is a more like a Crime Drama. The swedes are good at making "Dark Crime" TV series. The "Beck" crime series should serve as a benchmark for quality in the genre of crime series from Sweden. Despite financial backing from Netflix to create the series, it comes a bit short. Maybe I would expect it to be more scary and exciting. Instead, it feels a bit boring and drama oriented. Don't expect that much excitement in the series. There are some car chasing, but the overall script for possible future episodes of the series should focus more on less drama and more action.

  • Poorly directed Norwegian Quiz show

This quiz show airs on TvNorge in Norway.

The show is poorly directed and difficult to follow.

One of the main reasons is female hostess Solveig Kloppen's bad performance. She is really bad and reading up the questions and often seems nervous and ill prepared. The hosts seems to talk before thinking and the atmosphere is stressed and progress of the episodes are not very engaging.

To name som more positive sides of the quiz show are some guests are interesting, such as well known actors and actresses or media personalities and celebrities. Also the performance of Jon Almaas is solid as usual, yet somewhat under his "par" and usual performance.

What drags the show down again is the selection of questions. The show somehow is similar to "Jeopardy", but the questions are badly composed and often seems very random.

If they could swap Solveig Kloppen with a better female hostess, the show probably would be probably a better, but still there is work to be done about the selection of questions and also the different "quiz games" during the TV show. I often feel I see a school theatre filled with adult youths trying their best to act immature and cool.

Audience also seems very little energetic, I hardly hear or see them in the episodes. Do TV Norge invite 5 people to see the show, I hardly can hear them.

Sorry, this is only a 3 from me. Get a female hostess who can actually read a complete sentence without stutter.

  • Cliche ridden Small town drama

This started as an interesting looking movie, based on a real story. An aging power line is being replaced accross an entire state in the South of US and we follow a company of lines men working on the line, We see an uncle played by Ttavolta, bringing up his adopted niece into a young woman. There are hugs and kissed between the uncle and his niece. Then later in the movie there are more hugs and kisses. Feels like the South!

The small town life is cliche ridden, with tough guys saddlin up for blue collar work in the day and gathering at bars in the evening for booze and fight.

There are some decent buildup later in the movie, but just as things get a bit exciting, cheesy dialog scenes meses up with the progress of the story.

The most impressive thing in this movie is watching rugged John Travolta, or Beloved Uncle Beau or Bub or Bubba actually climbing up a giant pole!

And jokes aside, the acting of Bubba lifts the movie a lot. The rest of the actors felt a little under par. They should have used Sharon Stone better in this movie too. The cross cutting in the movie where there is a bit action really brings the movie down.

So besides Unca Bubba, this movie turned out not so good as it could have been. What would have been a missed opportunity here is showing more footage from high rise power line poles to show the sctual hazards of this LINE OF WORK. Instead we get hugs and kissed from Unca BUBBA.

  • A dark chapter in our nation's history

The persecution of jews in Norway is a dark chapter in our Nation's history.

It was German soliders who killed some 35% of the Norwegian jews in World War 2, but it was Norwegians who helped them by rounding them up, disclosing their location, imprisoning them in Norway and sending them off with DS Donau enroute to Germany and then to the Arbeitslager death camps.

In the movie we follow the Norwegian-jewish family Braude, living in Oslo. The person gallery is built up in a solid manner in this movie, portraying an entire jewish family and also neighbouring jewish families and the persecution they experienced after Germany invaded Norway on 9th of April, 1940.

The movie's strongest features are the human factor and the movie contains strong scenes and believable acting.

  • A great episode with the essence of Norwegian culture and humor - Norge Rundt

The episode is about a mockumentary of "Norge rundt", a weekly TV program sent in many years in Norway. The program is a magazine-style program.

It typically features a variety of segments, including human interest stories, cultural highlights, and local events from different parts of Norway.

This episode is hilarious, but perhaps best suited for a Norwegian audience as the humor might be not so simple to understand for outsiders.

Also, the humor is perhaps best understood by "Gen X"-ers and some of the older millenials, as the humor might be a bit harsh for the sensitive viewers.

I think the episode is really good today, some 16 years later, since it many places display a mock use of Artificial Intelligence, which today has become more everyday use of creating mock images and videos.

In the episode, we meet a original and simple guy from the countryside, doing his best to get accepted into an episode of "Norge Rundt", where people make original stuff created from special material, such as a church made off toothpicks or a scarf made out of fish sticks. Already here, the episode got a hilarious premise.

The episode is an instant classic in Norwegian comedy.

This comedy series stars some of the comedians even today in Norway, Harald Eia, Atle Antonsen and Bård Tufte Johansen.

  • Psychological thriller that completely misses its target audience

This movie was poorly executed. It turns out some people have exceptional hypnotic abilities to mind control people and some even got ability to control masses with illusions.

The movie starts out as a action thriller and later on the meta physical takes over and the movie feels like "Matrix" or "Inception" in its reality bending universe.

The main actor Ben Afleck does a poor job in this movie, and his acting is at times very poor. For example, in a scene in Mexico he discovers the primary bad guy is trying to hypnotize him and then shoots against him. Ben Afleck then runs out of the building, but actually he more like jogs out the building after being shot at. If you are making action flicks, you must at least have some intensity.

I haven't bothered watching the entire movie, just about an hour of it. It is that mediocre. Don't watch.

And when Ben Afleck turned out to suddenly be the master hypnotic guy with immense psionic powers. Sorry, that was the point where I returned to the main menu of my streaming provider.

  • Filled with plot holes and excuses for action gore

This movie promises much, but ends up as utter meaningless action gore movie.

We are following an uprising against the sitting president i Washington DC, but we get to no clue why everybody hates the sitting president and are moving on a killing spree to kill soliders and civilians because of the president.

The only clue we get is that he hasn't given an interview in 14 months ! Come to think of it, there are some presidents present that are not that glad in giving interviews..

But this lack of explaining why the president is so utterly hated in the movie and a civil war is occuring, makes the movie FILLED with PLOT HOLES !

The only positive side about the movie are some exciting scenes and Oliver Stone's quality shines through, especially at the end of movie where tense action scenes storming the capital are mixed with black and white photographs. I liked that part.

Anyways, it is a typical "post-apocalyptic" war movie that could be an over expensed episode of "The Living Dead" and I also feel like a zombie after watching this movie, having no clue why there was a civil war and why everybody was so utterly focused on targeting the president and what wrong doings he had done.

Another thing, if USA did degrade into a civil war, there is a high chance that European allies in NATO would intervene as peace keepers. You might laugh of that, but the NATO countries outside USA count almost a billion people and they would not sit idle by watching US degrade into civil war and violence at this level. NATO allies defends allies against both external and internal millitary conflicts.

  • Pseudo intellectual shitcom

This series is total garbage. The guys in the show are losers studying physics at university and befriends the local girls in their condo house which are either a combination of being somewhat hot and blonde and airheads or not hot and pseudo intellectual and boring and not blonde.

I sometimes try to laugh of the humor, but most of the time are annoyed by the constant laugh machin trying to sweeten the show with the "laugh damned it" chuckles, I am not convinced.

The humor is immature and a little bit sexualized, yet never very satirical or on the edge. What is great with this TV show is that it is usually followed by "2 and half men", a much greater comedy TV show with really edgy jokes and political uncorrectness. As long as Charlie Sheen is a part of it.

  • More a social drama with societal comments than a crime mini-series

The story takes place in the Big Apple in the middle of the 80s.

A kid grows up in an apartment building with his mom and dad, who are close to divorce.

The dad works at a local TV station as a puppeteer in a TV show he has come up with himself. The kid dissapears on his way to school a morning after mom and dad has yelled at each other again and NYPD gets contacted.

The progress is really slow in the series, where we slowly get to know the surrounding area and the possible suspects. They have done a decent job of recreating the 80s and Benedict Cumberbatch is fairly good at his role.

Since the people the dad is working with are also puppeteers, expect a lot of childish humor and impersonation of voices. Also, the dad seems to be loosing it, imagining the monster his lost kid has drawn, a monster called "Eric". Like the TV Series Ally McBeal we see both real and imaginary characters playing inside the dad's head. Expect to see the monster "Eric" now and then as a side comment throughout the TV series.

I am not sure, but this do not really seems like a crime mystery or crime series , more like a social drama and comment on societal differences. Because of genre confusion and slow progress I give it a half decent rating.

  • For the Moonwatch!

The movie manages to combine a strong cast and good use of CGI to combie with pseudo-science and hogwash of utter nonsense.

Our Moon is loosing its orbit and a janitor turned scientists portrayed by Samwell Tarly, I mean John Bradley, has done the math. Evidently our moon is not what it seems to be, that is - a natural satelite of the Earth.

There is no doubt that the movie has got some pretty spectacular usage of CGI as the Moon closes up on Earth. As a fun fact and side note, the Roche limit for Moon-Earth dictates that when the Moon comes closer than some 18,470 kilometres above the surface of the Earth, the Moon will disintegrate as the tidal forces will rip it apart.

In the movie, good usage of a trusty old spacecraft is being used to reach the moon on such a short notice as it has in a short time done drastic changes in its orbit.

I will not disclose too much of the movie and it does as a science fiction movie touch quite a few sci-fi topics seen in earlier works and postulated by different authors, such as dyson spheres. The movie is some of the more imaginative sci-fi movies that has been created and often people dislike it when movies tosses science and reality away. Sci-fi movies are meant to sometimes let us imagine the far fetched theories that exists out there. Evidently, some of the writers of this movie might on a daily basis prefer a hat made of tinfoil as they feed on some conspiracy theories of the Moon not being what it looks like.

But I think also it is a fair piece of entertainment and will be a lot of fun for many viewers, as long as they remember to switch of their brains a bit and ignore the goofy "science" going on.

At the same time, the movie do in fact contain some basis in science-fiction that makes it worthwhile to watch. I will suggest the viewer to view the entire movie to understand the most of story. Just like in Oblivion, things are really disclosed at the end of the movie.

  • Great singing, but where is this season going ?

The singing and music is quite good, for a refreshing space musical and yet another episode of our "Space Oddity" that is "Strange New Worlds". But I am wondering where this season is going. In the previous episode we had cartoons. It looks like the writers are having a blast of annoying us Star Trek fans. It is no doubt that Star Trek : Strange New Worlds is way better than Star Trek : Discovery, but they are diverging the script so much I cannot keep up with the overall plot.

It is an episode format, but in the 10-13 episodes per season we expect progress of an overall plot. Right now, I do not understand the main plot of this season.

Overall, it is a good iteration of Star Trek, but they need to cook up something more consistent, soon. We have heard a lot about Klingons on the offensive and this "Gorn" species, and temporal warriors travelling through time. But the script is all over the place. It looks like the iteration has too many writers with different ideas where the season and the entire franchise will go. And devoted fans having watched Star Trek in decades question themselves : Dude - where is my Star Trek ?

  • What is up with the negative reviews ? Hilarious comedy !

The movie is packed with jokes, just like "The Waterboy"!

Once more we have a challenged 'young man' living at home with his momma growing up in a small town (Salem, where the famous witch processes took place) who is obsessed with Halloween but at the same so easily scared!

The movie got a lot of well known actors and I found it a positive vibed comedy. We need humor in this world and Adam Sandler is a champion at creating these. Yes, it is goofy but it is good for you !

Expect a classic Adam Sandler movie and of course we have. Rob Schneider with us in a Sandler movie ! Also, the performance of. Kevin James is funny, being a tough but somewhat lazy cop of the small town. If you want to train your laughing muscles a bit, this is the movie for you !

The most impressive is how 62 years old Allison Jenney beats up younger males in their prime. An outstanding performance by this old lady. They have trained her fighting skills well. The locations are also great, the badges say San Juan County, so it is just near Vancouver Island.

However, the movie is too long and the script is often not engaging. It also feels predictable. The filming and musical score is good, but the story is too unrealistic. Just another assembly line Netflix movie. But I guess if you enjoy action movies combined with family drama, this is a great choice.

The plot picks up a bit at the end, but not much.

  • Absurd comedy about Norway and immigration

This movie is a parody of recent developments where immigrants in some countries must prove their good intentions. For example in America, immigrants are told to learn the national anthem and pledge their loyalty.

In this movie, immigrants are tested through a series of absurd trials to prove they are qualified for living in Norway.

Now, this movie might be an ironic movie which is trying to ridicule these steps, whoch in many cases can make it easier for immigrants to understand the country they have chosen to immigrate to.

What is so funny in this movie is that many of the trials are just stupid and unecessary, for ezample learning to do Sunday walks. Norwegians love hiking in nature, so it is a trial or test the immigrants must pass.

This movie is perhaps easiest to understand for Norwegians, as we know and understand the quirkiness of our own nature. I still believe this movie could be enjoyed by people living in other countries (including ilmigrants!)

  • Quality Norwegian comedy with renowned actors

The main cast in season one of "Mot i brøstet" was a seasoned one, well known from theatre and Arve Opsahl was a well known playing the villain Egon Olsen in the movie series "Olsenbanden". Nils Vogt and Sven Nordin is also well known, starring in both theater and movies. The later seasons broadens the cast, with women also taking the spot. As many humor series, it all revolves around a few locations, most often at Karl Reverud's house, played by Nils Vogt.

It is the theatrical background of the actors which shines through and for people who has live a few decades, it is a heart warming experience to see old reruns of the show on DVD or streaming.

Tore Ryen made a number of comedy series following "Mot i Brøstet", like "Karl & Co" and "Hos Martin". This TV series is the original, packed with humor. Please note though, that after modern days standard the humor is borderline controversial, with the occassional swearing and a bit of "theatrical humor", which often is a bit on the edge.

The TV series is probably not easy to graph for younger people who has not lived through the 90s, a bygone era. However, this is a treasure of Norwegian comedy and culture from the 90s, some years ago. It is worth a binge, especially for 30+ people from Norway.
