OK I was watching the first episode of this new (Disney) Star Wars series when it came to a class room scene where the children are informed of an impending careers selection day coming up the following day, to which the sight of the "Teacher Droid" definitely kicked me in the memory box of an old old advert on UK TV for Cadbury's Smash (A UK Instant Mashed Potato Product) that featured identical droids discussing how stupid humans were boiling potatoes, then draining potatoes and then having to mash them up.
Now I thought this was mere coincidence right up until the droid started talking and then the same voice eminated from this Cadbury's Smash Droid Lookalike as featured on the adverts of the 1960's, coincidence? I think not! Given how many Brits seem to work for Lucas Films (Even after the Disney take over) I find it hard to believe that none of them didn't flag this up as clear plagiarism of the 1960's and 70's adverts.
I challenge anybody to watch that class room scene then look up "Cadbury's Smash Adverts" on youtube and see how close those droids are...
