Not much to draw the viewer into the storyline. And hard to see even when the scene is supposed to be in daytime.
So tired of dark scenes, and I can understand the whole 'well the lighting is consistent with the timeframe of the story', but still annoying.
A couple of the actors are compelling and giving good performances but otherwise lackluster. I gave up after a couple of episodes, so someone can tell me that I didn't stick around long enough and maybe it gets better after episode 2.
The use of mystical references is not intriguing if there is no underlying and interesting story to the references.

Enjoyed having an original setting and a complex storyline. The backstory is a little overdone, but the murders and the detectives are good storylines. Would really like to see more detective stories set in Africa.
The story line is original and the characters are personable. The action was fast enough to keep the audience engaged. Original action of the chase scenes in the desert. Not a block-buster but a good watch.
