This is a beautiful story about family tragedy & personal sacrifice. Claudia was a true Empath. Many people do not understand this type of personality, but I was a Life Coach for many years & studied all types of personalities from Narcissists to Sociopaths. Here's dictionary's description of an Empath: "the ability to understand and share the feelings of another." At times Claudia seems inappropriate, odd & even creepy. She seemed to have no personal boundaries. But it helps to understand the fact that empaths live for experiencing what other people are feeling. Another aspect of Claudia's empathy is her desire to seek the truth. In the end, once Claudia learns the truth, she knows what to do.

I read a lot of reviews before I finished the series. Like others I was turned off by Claudia's personality. She was so wired! I almost stopped watching it. However, then I read one review that spoke of her being an Empath & that changed everything for me. I did finish the series & I am so glad I did. It was truly a beautiful story. And the actress who played Claudia was amazing, even in her ability to weird us out. Once you understand Empaths, it will change everything!

I feel insulted! The ending of season 1 was a slap in the face. I love a British who done it shows, and this one was pretty good! It held my attention throughout. But to leave us hanging in the last episode was really uncalled for!!! This was not even a good cliffhanger! The actors are fabulous, but the writing could have been better. Character development overall was good, pace good, and it kept me coming back week to week! But that last episode ... over the top cruel! I won't be coming back next season! 😡 I just can't believe they ending it this way! What were they thinking????? If I were the producer, I would have demanded a rewrite!
