I liked this movie just about as much as the first, if not more. I know it's odd to say that about a sequel, and a sequel going straight to DVD without it's original cast no less, but I really liked it. I thought it was a good movie about following your heart and finding your place and passion. Some people are saying that it has the same storyline as the original, but I didn't see that. I thought it was completely different. There are different people, different surroundings. Sara is already at Julliard in this one and she's in love with rap and hip-hop music at this point. How can you be more different than that? This movie talks about the love of dance whichever way your dreams take you.
I love these movies! I have all four of them now. I was just recently introduced to the series by my uncle, even though I'm sure I'd seen one or two of the movies before, just never paid that much attention or thought they wouldn't be great movies because #1 was made when I was two years old, #2 when I was made when I was four, #3 when I was seven...#4 wasn't that bad because it was made in '98, when I was 13 ...haha. But anyway, I love them and I'm actually watching #2 right now! I love Joe Pesci..hehe.

I watched this in my junior year of high school (2001-02) in my Anatomy class. I actually liked it. I thought it was good. I don't know if this was because I was young and didn't really know what was good and bad in movies, etc. But really, if you're younger usually a video you have to watch in school isn't going to appeal to you at all. I don't know, I guess I'm not the average student. I enjoyed the class so maybe that's why I liked the movie. Ever since I watched it back then I've been trying to find information about it and haven't had much luck until now. I guess to each his own, but if you like things that show you the truth behind serious problems in our society then I think you'll like this look into the realities and risks of steroid use and abuse.
