The time period is just amazing, French streets abd architecture. The cast is not apt. Their acting is not the required. One would at least expect an accent or slang of French and German people, and not American english. There is too much drama involved. A lot of time is wasted in the series. The main character lack acting lessons or genuinity in herself. The younger version of the character is way better than anyone else who has acted. Though I have not read the book, I can assure you that it would be way more better to read than to watch this. There are scenes that just don't go with a series like this. You expect more but all you get is something that just disappoints you.
Forget a logical story, it's just a some slow-witted story without any interesting visuals or acting skills. The dubbing is of course the most imbellic part. Acting skills of most of the actors are far less than mediocre. The story is directed in such a way that every small details are explained clearly enough that any brainless person is abke to understand it. The story lines doesn't match up at a lot of cases and they simply just doesn't add up. It starts with two investigative story lines parallely occurring and then at a certain point the whole scenes are completely new and they try to bring it up to a meeting point vaguely.
