This is clearly the bridge to a third film and I hope they get it. Was this as fresh and dynamic as the first film? Did it have as much charm? No to both. But it was still fun!
Uma is good at being a steely villain. And, she makes for a good foil for Charlize's Andy. Marwan and Luca remain couple goals, and provide needed heart. Kiki's Nile wasn't given enough to do, but we do learn what a key role her character plays in the big picture.
The Quynh storyline could have been given more room to breathe, but I like where it's headed.
No worse a sequel than some of the Marvel fare, and like those, I am willing to wait for the third film to advance the overall story.

Found this to be a fun watch. The true standouts are the performances by Jesse L Martin and the scene-stealing Travina Singer who is absolutely delightful every single time she's on screen.
The murders are not overly hard to solve, but it's the charm of the ensemble that make it a fun watch. There is an overarching story beyond the weekly cases, so definitely should be watched in order. It has so much potential that I hope they are able to flex a bit more in the future.
I truly hope they get a season two, to really hone the characters, take them deeper than charicatures, and find out what this show can be.

No, there are no big car chases, or explosions. No fancy lasers, or big combat scenes. However, it is a fun story of aging burglars looking to score their final hurrah, portrayed by a slew of veteran actors who still have the skills to go from dottering elder to angry thug.
Loved the use of the clips from their previous films as flashbacks. It was a refreshing change from CGI or Photoshop aging.
