When this movie first came out, I didn't see the movie because everybody said it was so bad, and it was a joke, then finally 10 years ago it was a movie on VOD (video on demand), and I said to myself, what the hell...
I was hooked up from the first 10 minutes (I used this time to decide if I commit to watching the movie or not), everybody looked good in this movie, perhaps that's why the average people hated this film because all the beautiful people were hanging with the other beautiful people and the regular looking folks just hated on them?
But I loved the portrayal of the cutthroat competition, and the seediness of what some of these girls go through when they're new in town. I love the spunkiness of Liz Berkeley's character, and I thought she looked so good and the other actresses looked good and perhaps I was watching because of the eye candy but it kept me watching, I sure wasn't expecting Shakespear theater, it was a guilty pleasure, saccharine product and if people accept it for what it is, it's not a bad movie, a good movie to watch when you hit the 500 channels and nothing to watch wall.

The "lack of chemistry", "boring", "A Hallmark movie", etc reviews must have never had love in their life or perhaps it's discrimination towards an Asian man having a relationship with a white woman, but I won't go there. Yes it's sappy, predictable, but it was executed right, I loved Jessica Rothe in Happy Death Day, in which she made a horror movie watchable and enjoyable, I wondered why she hasn't become a breakout star. In this movie her charisma just popped off the screen and you couldn't take your eyes off of her and whatever emotions she was selling I was buying, and the chemistry and the actors interactions was fantastic. A must see, highly recommended movie on my part. For those that gave it a bad review, write your own damn movie and let us critique it.
