I've watched this series since the beginning, always hoping it will get better. It never does. It's really insipid and has very little, "well, that was interesting" content. I just finished season/series 5 and will watch season/series 6 because I want to see how they handle Diana's death. I bet, though, it will show the crash, go to Diana laying in the car saying, "my god, what happened?" (because I think that's what she said as she was dying) and then they'll move to some other BS. Seriously, if you've seen the headlines from the news or tabloids, there's nothing really to see in this series.
I was so looking forward to this film and disappointed to find it a snooze-fest. One reviewer is correct: it's a really bad remake of Romancing the Stone. I thought it had a King Solomon's Mines (1985) vibe to it, as well.
Bullock and Tatum have absolutely no chemistry and even though Sandra shines in some of her films, for the most part her talent is nowhere to be seen in this one.
I'm not sure why Tatum was cast.
Pitt was the only redeeming quality in this film. I know he was only supposed to have a cameo and he truly shined in his role.
Bottom line: what a bore.

I've never seen Days of Our Lives but thought I'd check this one out because I like the silly guilty pleasures of soap operas.
I admire the writers for soaps. The fact they can keep the storylines going for ages when most issues can be resolved by asking the correct question 2 seconds later intrigues me. As someone who knows nothing about these characters going in, the writers have done a good job in bringing viewers up to speed in the character vignettes of the first episode.
My 7-star rating is for the acting being pretty bad; I expected a little better. This is a soap opera so if you don't have ability to get past watching a soap, you probably won't enjoy this.
If you're a soap opera fan this will be a silly pleasure to watch with your favorite snack and tune out of life for about 50 minutes.
The storyline of season 1 is fun and I'll keep watching it for the campy-ness, hoping the acting improves.
