I want to rewatch this movie ASAP. There are so many layers, so many references! I'm a big fan of ancient history, I know who was Catillina and Cicero, the Vesta-virgins, Crassus the richest man in his time. Another layer is the sci-fi, utopias, I remember my sci-fi books in the 80's, the cities looked exactly like the dreams of Megalopolis.
There is a strong message about civilization, thinking of future. In the last years any prediction of future is dark, catastrophic, threatening. We need to learn from past, but also start to think on a better future. We never reach a better life, if we even not thinking on it. Cicero is living in the moment, Catillina is living in the future, and same time in past because of his lost wife. Julia and her love connect them and the baby, the future itself.
Really appreciate for this movie to Master Coppola!

Interesting story, a real family drama, directing by the Master.
I have some Italian colleagues, and can tell you that Lady Gaga is a real italian women, Jared Leto is an emotional italian artist, they both earns Oscar definetaly. Adam Driver is very good as always.
The atmosphere of the 80's is absolutely perfect.
As Al Pacino said some years ago "what a picture!"

The best italian movie in the decade of '10. Funny and sad as well. A love letter to Rome. And also really deep message about the purpose of life. Loved it.
