I was first turned off by watching the trailers during reruns of other shows. It made me ill. But, I thought I would give the show a try. The show is just wrong on too-many-to-list levels. First of all is the distraction of all the drinking and whoring. The stilted nature of the plot line and characters is tiring. I felt like I needed a bath and a nap after watching 30 minutes of this trite nonsense. And last of all it was so difficult to focus on what was going on because there is just too much information being crammed into 1 hour. And that "angel" or whatever he is is just plain stupid. I never understand what the hell he is talking about.

Two well known actors plus a group of C-List actors make for a horrible movie. I cringed when John Travolta was in the scene. Was he drunk or just wanting to get it over with until the check cleared? It seemed at times as though he attempted a New England accent but at times he must have forgot. Joaquin Phoenix also acted horribly. If I could remember the names of the other people in this film I would comment on how bad they were. I will add that I recognized one actor from Boyz 'N the Hood (great movie, btw). The wife left much to be desired. I wonder if she is always this boring. I haven't even stopped watching this for the first time but I hate it already. Disjointed with no apparent context or meaning. random pseudo-"male bonding" scenes. The "anger filled firehouse scene" after someone died seemed contrived. In fact, the entire movie seemed rather stilted. At least "Backdraft" had some underlying meaning with developing relationships between characters, so-so humor, plots and subplots. This crap had none of that. Time is better spent pulling out your own fingernails than watching this tripe nonsense x 49. Soundtack sucks too.

I am puzzled to find so many comments that are positive about this. To describe something so grotesque as "beautiful." I remember hearing something about the actual incident but I had always written it off as urban legend. Now I find that they made a documentary about it. I love documentaries but to make one about the rape of defenseless animals is beyond reprehensible. I tried to find more information on the internet about the actual incident but could find less information than about the movie they made about it. I had never even heard of this movie until now. This is rape people. Not natural in the least. I don't see how anyone is anything but repulsed by this.
