He (Anthony) isn't looking for love in a wife because of the deep pain felt by himself and his mother, back when his father died. Love causes terrible pain. She (Kate) is devoted to her sister and does not want a loveless marriage for her. Anthony and Kate clash constantly because of their different views on relationships.
Ahh, then things get tricky.
With each passing scene and each passing episode, a connection is forming. You can lie to yourself and deny love, but hearts don't lie.
Maybe I'm just a romantic, but this was really well done and the actors were totally believable. An easy 10.
By the way, love the brothers too 😉.

...I had to watch this. Talk about playing a different character. Liked her in The Expanse...loved her in Red Rover. It's one of those examples that whenever an actor is in a scene, the movie immediately becomes better.
As for Kristian Bruun who plays the male lead in this film, the buildup of his character was slow but I suppose that's how it had to be. I really enjoyed watching him progress throughout the movie in most scenes, but particularly with Gee.
The SciFi aspect of the film was essentially the back story, but it was always looming. Is there really going to be a mission to Mars? Does he really want to go? The movie kept my interest to the end. Even the credits where Cara Gee sings again. I like her style.

L'Ange Noir grabbed my interest right from the start and had me glued to my couch until the very end. The version I watched was French spoken with English subtitles.
Everything a French film has to offer was in this. Interesting and attractive characters, mystery from start to finish, and a few twists and turns thrown in along the way. One of the things I enjoy about foreign films is how I'm introduced to different actors and actresses that I've never seen before. This movie had that as well.
Of course, we also didn't get the usual cliched Hollywood ending. I highly recommend this movie; you won't be disappointed.
