Cute story, Hallmark type movie without the same budget. Filmed around Cecil County MD (which made it more interesting since my wife's family is nearby) it's a typical love story.
There are some humorous scenes and the girl's father has some great one liners. There are no Academy Awards level performances but for a small budget film that will hold your interest it's worth your time if you like these type of movies. We are always on the lookout for decent movies with no to minimal bad language, embarrassing sex scenes and characters that are realistic. "Cream of the Crop" fits the bill for us and you should definitely check it out.

Cute movie! It's like the Little Rascals meet Indiana Jones Jr. For a low budget film it is surprisingly well done. The kids in this movie are decent enough actors and the dialogue isn't half bad either...considering a couple of the actors probably can't read! Not a laugh out loud film but I did find myself snickering at several scenes. Not sure if this family has done other movies but I'd definitely watch it. It's spiritual without being pushy, Christian without being preachy. Great allegorical message for the whole family. If you are looking for a non-Disney flick you can go wrong with this film.
I've watched plenty of low budget films, most "Christian" films fall into this category. But this one was pretty decent. Clean, had some funny lines and goofy scenes. Much of the storyline was not plausible but for a decent, family friendly film it was good. The acting, editing and sound was good as well (unlike many low budget films). All in all it was worth the 93 minutes spent watching it.
