I should have learned my lesson after an abysmal second season and stopped watching there.
I thought maybe this would be the last season, and so I picked it up again, hoping for a payoff to the hours I've poured into this show.
Nope, this is just more of season 2, but possibly even worse.
The entire plotline of The Adults is like a soap opera mixed with lighthearted "quirk chungus" comedy.
When it comes to the story, it's a "well, uh, I guess this could happen now" style of writing.
It's obvious they had no long-term story arc planned out for the adult characters.
The biggest problem with the show. There is not a single likeable or interesting character.
Nobody to root for and nothing to be excited about. It's just bad and/or annoying people running around doing random stuff.
When a character dies in season 3, it's almost a relief because now you don't have to see them anymore.
In the entire 3rd season, all the pivotal moments of the young characters go like this.
Shauna: We NEED to do this extremely evil thing for no reason.
Natalie: WE CAN'T DO THAT! IT'S WRONG!
Shauna: Yes, we can.
Natalie: Oh, okay.
That's the end of the conversation, and then they do some nonsensical evil thing.
I remember watching the first season thinking, wow, what's going to change these girls into a
tribe of sadistic cannibals? How are they going to live with the bad things they have already done?
Turns out they're just all EXTREMELY dumb and just decided to be evil.
Just completely awful writing. I think the show "From" probably has the WORST writing on a current TV show.
But Yellowjackets is a close second. I've never seen a show with more missed potential than this.

The concept and execution is excellent and creative. The acting and casing is near perfect, The direction and editing hit he ball on every note
If you want explanation to why this movie isn't a 7/10, its because it is actually a 9/10 limited series. The entire film feels like 6 different hour long episodes were condensed to one and a half hours total.
There is so much backstory and further expansion for each character in this film, but it feels like it was all cut and removed to get it down to a 90 minute format.
So many dramatic notes, but nothing has a long enough time to just "sit there" and leave a lasting impact. Its all next-next-next. I mean, yes, we "get it" but we aren't invested like we would be with a longer story with the same quality.

Season one ended with an exciting conclusion. It was an ending that left viewers expecting the unsolved mysteries from season one to be explained and expanded on, and that we would see the story moving beyond the small town and into a bigger world of bizarre horror and mystery.
Instead, in season 2 episode 1, we were given the characters placed back at square one. Wandering around saying "what is going on?" and having listless inconclusive "dramatic" conversations with each other. This continues for the entirety of season 2.
The writing is atrocious. Even beyond the boring and tire-spinning dialogue which makes up 90% of the run-time. Nothing happens. There is no plot progression on what was established in season one, there are only more ideas added, very BAD ideas.
Do not waste your time with this terribly written show.
