The characters and plot varied substantially from the book without good reason and the detectives mumbled so frequently that subtitles were essential.
Only worth 1/2 marks because it isn't possible to understand what is being said 1/2 the time.
Powerful primer that explains how US citizens have been victimised by of law and order policies and the media...if nothing else watch the photo montage at the end and reflect on the impact of seeing people of colour doing normal things rather than as normally portrayed
