  • Waste of time

Who wrote this garbage? I love Sci-Fi and will watch anything that has a spaceship in it, but this has nothing else going for it. Adam Driver did this junk for the money. I doubt he read the script. The Producers spent what's left on some cheesy cardboard sets, a squirt gun and Flash Gordon special effects. I wish I had turned it off before it finished. Not to mention Dinosaurs that look like they walked off a Godzilla set. Wait, I'm really doing Flash Gordon and Godzilla an injustice. At least they has some fun in them. This thing is moronic, boring and sad. I feel sorry for anyone who sat through it in a theater.

  • Deserves more praise

Under rated. The story is beautifully told, both funny and poignant. The two stars have cosmic chemistry and I loved every minute they were on screen. An absolute delight of a film.

  • Music ripped off?

Someone explain this to me. This movie was released in December 1938 as a sequel to Topper. In the film you will hear a refrain from the music of The Wizard of Oz, it repeats throughout the movie. The music composer is listed as Hugo Friedhofer, he was a contract studio composer. The Wizard of Oz was released almost a year later, the composer was Herbert Stothart who won the Academy Award for Best Score for the Wizard of Oz. It seems to me that Mr. Stothart simply ripped off a contract employee of the Studios. A familiar story? Close your eyes and watch Topper Takes A Trip on TCM, you will swear it's the Wizard of Oz.
