I really liked this, quite an entertaining creepy and quirky movie. It's a little predictable at times,, and a few wee plot holes, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. I especially loved the dance of death, wanted more of that, but maybe too much would've ruined it as it was nicely underplayed. Really wish IMDB didn't have a minimum character limit for reviews because I've said it all - a great gem of a movie that I will probably watch again at some point. M3GAN will probably be one of those films that will have a bit of a cult following like Ex Machina. Definitely one of the better AI creature features.
I couldn't wait to see this after watching Ari Aster's brilliant Hereditary and Midsommar. It didn't disappoint - from the very start you are uncomfortably on the edge of your seat, it's unpredictable, wild, crazy, funny, disturbing, sometimes disgusting, and brilliant. Be prepared- it's quite a long movie, and I'm still not sure I fully understand the ending but maybe that doesn't matter. Aster is a true visionary - and his movies are incredibly visual - so strong that they're imprinted after just one viewing. Aster is an exceptional story teller and director. I am looking forward to seeing more from him.
