  • Hilarious, perfect comic timing

The voice acting, social commentary, and juxtaposition of yakuza culture and Japanese domestic culture is brilliant. Some real laugh out loud moments, delivered in a unique style It's so funny reading some of the low score comments critiquing the frame rate of the animation... those people people have clearly missed the point here!

  • Not about minimalism, just narcissistic waffle

What on earth is this documentary attempting to achieve? Such a boring dragged out life story, about two not particularly inspiring chaps and other talking heads. Wish they'd credit other schools of thought that have pioneered these principles, instead of talking about it like it's just something they figured out themselves. Waste of time.

  • Beatifully made

Gorgeous animation, nice music, and l perfect narration and voices. The little one loves following along with the book, even though it doesn't follow the exact order of all the page illustrations. If only another reviewer that was concerned about the snail drowning, realised it's a sea snail, not a garden snail.
