I am only in the second season, but I am having a hard time with this show now. It really is the Darlene show with brief pit stops with Becky who was portrayed as the town bicycle. And Dan has become this cranky totally unlikable person. All he does is yell. And there is no universe where I see a man like Dan (miserable and cranky) getting a woman like Louise. She is so far out of his league.

I do have a problem with Darlene's kid's names. Mark was named after Becky's high school boyfriend? And Harris? Harris, really? Who names a girl Harris? Why did Becky name her baby after the woman that basically tortured her mother and aunt? I have so many questions as to why they will be making more seasons. Alicia Goranson couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag. Darlene is such a sour puss she played the EXACT same character she did from the 80s, but in everything she's in. When she was on Big Bang Theory, she still had the personality of a wet washcloth, I don't know how she's able to get someone as awesome as Ben, though he is better for her than the sniveling David. The more Harris is just herself the more I hate her. And being total AHs when they have a guest over that just happens to be supporting another football team. Jackie is just a miserable old spinster with the worst Karen haircut.

This is how these writers see people in poverty? It's insulting.

I am mostly watching the show to complete the Marvel Television universe, but I have to say there are quite a few things I like about the show. Really, it's pretty good. Mostly it's the music I really hate. It sounds like a cop show from 1970. It's rather grating on the nerves.

It's on par with Jessica Jones, but Jones doesn't give me the "Shaft" overtones.
