Is this a good movie? Absolutely not. In fact this is hilariously dumb and stupid. Is it a entertaining and fun watch? Oh yea!
This is a mixture of "The Last Supper" (1995), and "Ready or Not" (2019). Mixed with a few other things. Although I believe both those mentioned movies are superior to this one, The Hunt is however funnier.
Mostly this is wellmade, well shot, well acted, and follow a decent narrative path. However there are a few weird things which I would probably blame the low budget on, and I was a bit disappointed with the very end of the movie. The big problem is however the middle part which drags a bit.
I was laughing almost constantly, at least up to the last 15min or so. This is a comedy more than anything else. Despite me highly recommending this movie, I cannot give it more than a 6/10, in fact that is probably too high. But this is dumb stupid entertainment and you can most definitely do a lot worse.

The animated version of Lilo & Stitch is a very good movie. One of the best animated movies of all time and the narrative in that original is fantastic with 1h20min hour of pure gold. This 1h50min however... not so much.
This movie is almost watchable, and I believe that children will like this.
This movie is not well made. The pacing is not on point, the aliens are kinda boring, and the big sister seem like a bitchy person. In the cartoon Nani is, according to me, the best character, here she is the worst one. The editing is not good, and those 30min extra compared to the animated version is not used for anything but dragging out scenes and adding more (useless) characters.
I give it a weak 4/10.

Is this a good movie? No, not at all.
Is this entertaining? Yes, mostly
If you liked the previous instalments you are likely to like this one. Personally I think The Final Reckoning is one of the weaker ones. Not action-wise or entertainment value, which is just as good as any of the others, but comes to writing and story which has a lot of holes in them. I didn't like the last one much which felt like action with little substance, and I have the same feeling here. These movies lack a soul, lack that undefined oumpfh which make action movies not just action-y but also a good movie experience.
Watching this movie feels like eating at McDonalds - you know what you are getting and it is temporarily filling but you know it is not very good food and you wish you had a proper meal instead.
The main issue I have is the "villain/s" and their behaviour and contra this with Ethan and his team who seem to be the saviour of humanity for some reason. None of it makes much sense. The editing is another thing that bothered me. The movie feels a bit choppy, never letting the scenes breath properly and the editing seem to be to get us to action scenes rather than to build the story.
With all of that said this is still not bad. In an era of increasingly bad movies, Mission Impossible is, a bit sadly, one of the better ones. I had a decent time, but I will also completely forget all about this movie after posting this.
I give it a 6/10 and I tentatively recommend. You can definitely do worse and if you liked the previous movies, especially the one preceding this one, you are likely to enjoy this. If you are looking for substance, great editing and a good story then you are not the intended audience.
