Completely fake situations, bad scenario, bad actors. Who on this planet believe this is actually true ? And who can find this entertaining in the least ? Answer: nobody in their right mind.
Reality TV has sunk to a new low with this. I sincerely hope it will at least contribute to its demise once and for all, because there's certainly nothing real about this, except its poor taste.
It's so bad, that I have trouble finding enough stuff to write about it so that my review meets the 10 lines requirements for publishing. I really don't understand TV stations spending high dollars buying the rights to air this crap. Not to mention how the producers actually convinced investors to finance the production ? I'd be curious to see actual TV ratings after only 2 or 3 episodes ? Probably close to nil. Although people will watch anything, however bad it is, it's true... Sob.

Except for Peter Falk, who is as good as ever in his Columbo role, all the other cast members fail to play their role convincingly. It was like watching a bad soap. Maybe the director of this episode, Walter Grauman,is partly to blame for that ?
Weak plot, lots of continuity mistakes, lots of camera shadows on people, stretched-out phone ringing, car following and walking scenes that hampers the flow and reveal a thin scenario. This episode could have lasted at most an hour, instead of stretching it to an hour and a half.
Also, the attempt at moving away from the usual Columbo recipe by not showing how the murder took place is only confusing and not helping the story telling.
All in all, one of the very few very bad Columbo episodes, fortunately.
