I grew up with this documentary. It is beyond question one of the greatest dinosaur documentaries ever created. Oh it has some inaccuracies, with some animals being depicted that did not live at the precise time they are depicted in the show. And some facts are now believed to be false due to new discoveries and some other minor inaccuracies as well as taking liberties with assuming behaviors but over all the show is a must see. I have nothing scathing to say about it.
However I am going to disagree with one of the reviewers about the heat pit thing. I've read that scientists think that the heat pits of snakes do produce a 'visual' heat map in the brain.

I find their claims about the 'new evidence' suggesting that the inquiries conclusions were wrong to be a bit questionable. They point out fuel leaks and metal fatigue as possible causes. They still do not arrive at definitive answers. So overall this is a good way to pass the time but one should take these conclusions with a grain of salt.
