just a quick note to say that I am reviewing this anime after watching only 13 episodes. but usually I can tell if a show is going to capture my attention from at least episode 6. but sad to say this one hasn't really done that. saying that I still have faith in it and will continue to watch it until at least the end of the first season. I don't know if anyone else felt the same but I found the story a bit hard to follow at times. I thought the action was really good but the main thing this show has going for it is the visuals. The beautiful scenery, the uniforms and the buildings had a deep attention to detail. even though I still think the pace of the show didn't capture me I still appreciated it's beauty.
This is one kick ass anime with all the right ingredients to make this a tour-da-force to beat. I started watching this anime at the same time as my hero academy and hunter x hunter which are also both magnificent anime. of all the 3 I enjoyed this the most probably because it's so short and I guess it's personal opinion really but this satisfied my craving for action and magic. hunter x hunter is a class act and a very intelligent anime which the other two cannot touch in that department. but the characters in overlord are all mysterious and I can't wait to see the full potential of Ainz Ooal Gown. A fellow reviewer hit the spot when him/her said that the series was far too short. and it ended on such a high that it almost made me angry that they only made 13 episodes. I WANT MORE AND CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON TWO, THREE, FOUR AND FIVE :)
I was never really a fan of Ben Affleck I always thought he was a mediocre actor. But over the past few years he's chosen the right roles to get him a good fan following for example; Batman vs superman, gone girl and Argo. But this movie right here is the best Affleck movie of them all. He nails this role so convincingly that this movie pulls you in from the start. This is an absolute masterpiece of a movie. Much better than the last Jason Bourne film and Taken 2 put together and with a load more action and twists left over to wet your appetite. This had to be the best film of the year by far and those other reviews that had given this less than 5 should sit and watch this film again. I'll recommend this to anyone that into action thrillers with a twist. Enjoy.
